Closing key watershed strategy gaps: address gaps identified
in adopted Bay and Coastal strategies and issues identified by local,
state and federal policymakers;
• Transferability: adaptability to other organizations
or political jurisdictions;
• Innovation: deployment of new technology, processes
or practices that
encourage efficient, economical solutions;
• Permanent change: legislative, legal or policy adoption;
or
• Leveraging of resources: expand base of available
financial and human
resources.
• Will make multi-year grants when circumstances clearly
demonstrate need.
Staff support will be considered if accompanied by a strong
plan for future
self- sustainability;
• Generally, will not fund proposals for on-the-ground restoration or classroom
environmental education
• Would prefer prospective grantees use only regular mail or e-mail in their correspondence with the Foundation. * No Express Mail or currier service
